Miriam Hatcher LoPorto, 79, went to be with our Lord on Monday April 1, 2013. Miriam was born August 6, 1933 in Sanford, Florida to parents, Arthur and Maurine Hatcher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Frank LoPorto and five children, Salvatore LoPorto II (Ann Marie) of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Maureen Smith (Dent) of Lexington,KY, Timothy LoPorto of North Little Rock, Lisa LoPorto (Larry) of Columbia, MO and Concetta Hall (David) of Little Rock; sister, Joy Williams of Nashville, GA ; and five grandchildren, Jimmy and Maria LoPorto, Faye Smith, Michelle and Katie Hall, and Rachel Epps (step-granddaughter).
She was an original member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock, AR. She was active in Cursillio and Kairos Outside for 6 years and active in the charismatic movement, all as a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Casselberry, Florida. She served as a Eucharistic minister and worked with bereavement ministries throughout her life. She was loved by all those who met her and touched many lives.
The Holy Rosary will be said at Christ the King Catholic Church, Wednesday evening, April 3 at 7:30 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116.
