Jackson "Jack" Alfred Barton, 86, of Little Rock, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at his home.
He was born in Hamburg on January 27, 1918 to the late Cephas and Mary Aiken Barton.
He was a member of the Park Plaza Mall Walking Group, the Exercise Class at St. Vincent's, and attended St. Paul United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth MacGrude Barton, who died in 2000; brothers, Arthur Barton, John Barton, Edward Barton, and Cephas Barton; and a sister, Agnes Ogles.
Survivors include a son, Darrell W. Barton of Edmond, Oklahoma; sisters, Venie Flarety and Pauline Johnson, both of Little Rock, and Mary Cornwell of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Dr. Carrie Barton of Grove, Oklahoma and Jackson Marshall Barton of Edmond, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 25, 2004 in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home with Rev. John Fleming officiating.
Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
