Marion D. Johnson, 69, of Hensley, died peacefully in her sleep, January 14, at her home. She was a beloved mother, grandmother (Nanny), sister, aunt and friend.The lives of those who knew her were made better simply by having known her. Her passing leaves a void that can only partially be filled.

Born to Bill and Giesela Gardner, January 2, 1947 in Germany, Marion attended Searcy High School, and on June 19, 1966, she married Bill Johnson. They shared many wonderful years creating a beautiful family together.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Johnson, son Steve Johnson, brother David Gardner, and sister Monie Myers.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Seligman, grandsons: Chris Seligman, Blake Swan, and Matthew Johnson, sister Margaret Layden, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Marion loved people, and spent many years in the restaurant business, retiring from Red Lobster in 2010. Making others happy made Marion happy.

A celebration of Marion’s life will be held Saturday, January 23, 2:00 p.m. at her home, 18347 Philis Drive, Hensley. Friends and family are invited to attend. Guests may register at www.ArkansasCremation.com
