Ethel Lois Pauline Brown McJunkins, age 85, of Malvern passed away June 28, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. She was born August 2, 1927, in Kemp, Oklahoma to the late Clarence E. and Rosa Lee Harrison Brown. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was an avid fisherman and loved to work in flower gardens, baking and loving her family. She was "mom" to many more than her own children. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. McJunkins; sons, Lenard, Kelly, Ricky, Kenny; daughters, Tressie May and Rosie Marie and grandchildren, Seth Lynn Thomas McJunkins, Tonie Dawn McJunkins and Joshua Burks.
Survivors include her children, Thomas and Tressie McJunkins, Judy and David Rubly, Mary Stephens, Phillip and Tammy McJunkins, Henry McJunkins and Shelly Moore, all of Malvern; daughter-in-law, Ruthie McJunkin; sister-in-law, Alice Whitney and grandchildren, Sandra, Bobby, Steven, David, Rita, Tim, Ray, Carmen, Angie, Amber, Valerie, Shane, Rosie, Brittney, Michelle, Tommy, Steven, Cheryl, Misty, Jonathan Demarat, Carlton, Ferron, Elizabeth, Flecia, and Desmond, 39 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Service will be held Friday, August 2 at 4:00 pm at Traskwood United Methodist Church. Honorary Pallbearers are Danny K. Whitney, David Holmes and the staff at Malvern Tire and Hospice Home Care. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted. Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
