*Obituary
Betty Jean Boldebook Sisson Robertson, 95 of Fordyce, was born on September 21, 1927 to the late Fred A. and Mary Elizabeth Boldebook in Warren, Arkansas. She entered the beautiful gates of Heaven on July 23, 2023 after a short illness and stay at Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two wonderful husbands, Troy Ray Sisson and Robert S. Robertson. Also preceding her were three brothers who died in infancy and three sisters. She is survived by her special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Jean Walthall, with whom she lived for the last five years of her life. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Frances Izard, Maxine Lawhorn, Carolyn, Dortha Ann, Troy Max, Nina, Sue, and Bobbie Ray. There are numerous other nieces and nephews by marriage who loved her very much.
Later in life, in her second marriage, she gained a bonus son, Rob Robertson (Sheryl) and bonus grandchildren, Will and Megan Robertson, all of McKinney, Texas. The Robertson family also brought her even more nieces and nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law to love and be loved by.
For most of her young adult years, she and Troy lived in Rome, Georgia where she was secretary to the headmaster and admissions office manager of Berry Academy. She worked there from 1964 until her retirement when they moved back to Arkansas. She was a devout member of Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church where she served for many years as the clerk.
Funeral services will be held at Benton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 25, at 10 am with visitation beginning at 9:00 am. Brother Matt Terry and Brother Terry Edderington will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Stoney Point Cemetery.
