*When Gloria Francis Lewis was born on July 17, 1929, in Haskell, Arkansas, her father, James, was 47, and her mother, Gilda, was 37. She married Walter U. Sanders on July 25, 1946. They had one child during their marriage. She died on September 29, 1994, in Talihina, Oklahoma, at the age of 65, and was buried in her hometown.
