Mrs. Linda Avery, age 82 of Prescott, AR, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021, at a local nursing home. She was born March 25, 1929 to Henry and Myra Womble Hendrix in Delight, Arkansas. She was a member of Prescott Church of Christ. She absolutely loved children and they loved “Mrs. Avery”. Over the years, she had babysat for 100+ children. She brought a special light to the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth Hendrix, Willard Hendrix; sisters, June South and Mary May; and one son, Todd Avery.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her beloved husband of 62 years, Glenn Avery of Prescott, AR; one son, Ken Avery of Texarkana, AR; one brother, Alton Hendrix of Spokane, WA; two grandchildren, Zack Avery and Brittnee Westerfield; four great-grandchildren, Travis Avery, Ellie Avery, Sara Westerfield, Jacob Westerfield; a host of loved ones and friends.
Visitation will be 1:00pm to 2:00 pm Sunday, August 8, 2021 at BRAZZEL/Cornish, 1196 Hwy 371, Prescott, AR 71857.
Funeral services will follow immediately after visitation, with Mr. Wallace Vandiver officiating. Burial to follow at DeAnn Cemetery. Funeral services under the direction of BRAZZEL/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott, Eddie Brazzel, Director.
