Dona Jeanne Williamson, 77, of Hot Springs died Friday Sept.14, 2007 in a local hospital. She was born September 01, 1930 to the late Dr. D.J. and Catherine VanPatter in Marshfield, WI. and she was of the Baptist faith. Dona loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, swimming and sitting on her deck. She was a very clever and witty person, even to the end and she dearly loved her grandchildren, her dog Heidi, helping people, especially children without families, loved to read and to shop. A lot of people in this area probably knew her as The Boat Dock Lady but may not have known that when she was younger she had her pilots license. Even though she was a very strong willed person you knew that there was alot of love and compassion in this small size person. She is survived by her husband Earl Williamson of Hot Springs; one daughter, Jayne and her husband Larry Diggs of Hot Springs, two sons, Buzzy and his wife Sherri Williamson of Pearcy and David and his wife Susan Williamson of Little Rock, AR.; one brother, Dr. Jim VanPatter of Little Rock, AR.; one sister, Virginia Payne of Hot Springs; six grandchildren, Jeremy Diggs, Dusty Diggs and Bridget Diggs all of Hot Springs, Amber Williamson and Sally Williamson of Pearcy and Benjamin Williamson of Little Rock, AR. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, In Caruth-Hale Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bob Thornton officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American HeartAssociation or The Garland Co. Library.
