Bobby Curtis Douglas, 68, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed from this life on July 13, 2012 in Laughlin, NV.
The son of Niecel and Beulah Sutherland Douglas, Bobby was born on July 23, 1943.
He lived his young life in the Lavaca area and raised his family Van Buren. He was retired from many years in the automobile business in Fort Smith. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Barling, AR and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gerald and five sisters, Helen, Exine, Opal, Norma and Rebecca.
Funeral services are 11:00 AM Friday, July 20, 2012 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He will be sadly missed by his survivors, Shirley Douglas, his wife of 49 years of the home, one son, Kurtis Douglas of Van Buren, Arkansas; two daughters, Deborah (Dee Dee) Moorman and her husband Jason and Cindy Douglas both of Fort Smith, AR; three brothers, Herman Douglas and his wife June, Bill Douglas and his wife Doris and Earl Douglas all of Fort Smith, AR and four grandchildren, Bradley Douglas, Michael Bell and Brayden Douglas of Van Buren, AR and Miranda Moorman of Fort Smith, AR.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Douglas, Billy Douglas, Jr., Billy Douglas III, Grant Meadows, Chris Cole, Randy Kelly, Sr., Randy Kelly, Jr., and Shane Stevens.

September 21, 1944 - June 26, 2015
Shirley Douglas, 70, of Van Buren, AR formerly of Fort Smith passed away on Friday June 26, 2015 in a Fort Smith residence.
She was born September 21, 1944 to Clarence and Lucille" Strickland" King in Georgia.
Shirley was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Curtis Douglas in 2012.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday June 30, 2012 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah “Dee Dee” Moorman and her husband Jason of Fort Smith and Lucinda “Cindy” Douglas of Van Buren; one son, Kurtis Douglas of Van Buren; four grandchildren, Miranda Adamson and her husband Ethan of Fort Smith, Bradley and Brayden Douglas both of Van Buren and Michael Bell of Van Buren; two sisters, Debbie Bell and her husband Jim of Fort Smith and Teresa Ludlow of New Jersey.
