Joyce
1943 - 2010

Obit
Joyce Perry, 66, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, departed this earth to embrace eternal life and dwell in her heavenly home with her savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 27, 2010.

She was born in Alvarado, Texas, on November 18, 1943.

Joyce worked for National Oldline Insurance Company as a senior claims examiner for many years. She was a talented writer and singer. She also enjoyed reading and tending to her rose bushes.

All of her life, Joyce reached out to those in need, possessing an extraordinary spirit of generosity, giving of what she had and very often from that which she couldn't afford to give. All who knew her will remember her gracious, warm personality and her positive outlook on life which included a great sense of humor. She will be truly and deeply missed by her family and friends.

Joyce was preceded to heaven by her beloved brother, Roland Collins, and her father, Elmer Blakely.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 29 years, James W. Perry of North Little Rock; her mother, Irene Cooper, and sister, Gwen Mills, both of Fort Worth, Texas; her daughter, Valerie Henley (Bruce) of Bryant; her son, David Eaton, of North Little Rock; granddaughters Heather and Ashlea Worsham; grandsons Brian and Matthew Eaton; stepson Mike Perry (Traci); nephews Jerry Cunningham (Elaine) and Glen and Wesley Shoecraft; niece Karen Scott (Mike); and dear friends Loretta Spillers and Pat Hardaman.

Graveside service was at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle.
