Betty Louise Linton, 84, of Hot Springs died Thursday, July 1, 2010. She was born December 21, 1925 to the late Elsie Exceme Stitt Brown and Edwin Jay Brown in St. Johns, Michigan.

Mrs. Linton was of the Methodist faith; upon graduating from business college and due to her father’s position as a ranking Naval Officer she was employed as an executive secretary with the Naval Department in Washington D.C., then upon her father’s death she returned to Michigan and became the secretary for the Michigan Medical Society, she then moved to Texas and became a District Manager with the Texas Legislature for ten years, upon retirement she moved to Hot Springs and became an Executive Secretary with Levi Hospital and retired after ten years, she was also a member of Elks Lodge 380 and a member of the Belvedere Country Club.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Donald G. Linton of Hot Springs; two sons, Ronald George Linton and Kenneth James Linton both of Hot Springs; one daughter, Barbara Linton Bratton of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Barbara Van Buren of Michigan and Mary Sue (Sam) Malone of Texas; two grandchildren, Shaun Cobb and Gina (Chris) Stegall; four great grandchildren, Magan Cobb, Stephen Cobb, Ryan Stegall and Skyler Chandler.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Hot Springs Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Morning Star Cemetery with Dr. Bruce Swihart, pastor of Barcelona Road Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village officating.

Pallbearers are Ken Linton, Ron Linton, Shaun Cobb, Jimmy Clark, Lou Palmer, A.G. Harvey, Joe Poindexter and Chris Stegall.
