Lewis May 88, of Hot Springs died Dec. 17, 2010. He was born August 6, 1922 in Magnet Cove to the late John El & Lena Gibson May. He was employed with the National Park Service for 34 years and a deacon at First Pentecostal Church. Lewis was preceded in death by his first wife, Iva Walker May; a son, Larry May; and two grandsons: Zane May and Kevin Meredith; Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Juanita May of Hot Springs; two sons: Stan May (Donna) of Malvern, Tony May (Deena) of Hot Springs; two daughters: Corita Meredith (Kenneth) and Andrea Gillham of Hot Springs; daughter-in-law, Bren May of Little Rock; siblings: Roy May of Hot Springs and Alice Smoke of Magnet Cove; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday at First Pentecostal Church with Bro. Wilbert Bates and Bro. Billy Frank Glidewell officiating. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Burial will be in Morning Star Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Aaron Gillham, Josh Gillham, Ryan Gillham, Blake May, Alex May, Spencer May, Keith Meredith, Steve Meredith, Micah May and Jason May. Honorary bearers include: Ronald Jarrell, Fred Glidewell, Bob Allbritton, Gerald Glidewell, Leon Bates, Charles Hendrix, Roy May and James Graham.
