Mazie D. Cunningham, age 89, peacefully passed away March 8, 2013.
She was born June 5, 1923 in Midland, Mississippi.

She is preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers, and one grandson, T.J. Cunningham.

She was married February 22, 1941 to the late William Earl Cunningham. From this union, four children were born: Johnny Cunningham and wife Mary Ann, Russellville, AR, Bobby Cunningham of Little Rock, AR, Tommy Cunningham of Ft. Smith, AR, and Eddie Cunningham of Russellville, AR.

She is survived by two sisters, Gladys Hamilton and Francis Douglas, both of Maben, MS. She leaves behind a legacy of 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren with two more on the way.

She was an avid gardener and a wonderful cook. She was member of the Baptist church and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Ladies' Auxiliary. Her love of family, sense of humor, generosity, and resiliency made her the amazing, unique woman that she was. She brought her family together, even in her last days.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel with burial following at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday, March 11, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Alex Cochran, John Cunningham, Johnny Ray Cunningham, Will Cunningham, Tanner Haralson, and Nathan Jones. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
