Dorothy Mae Jones, 93, of White Hall, Arkansas entered Heaven's gate to be with her Lord and Savior February 12, 2018. She was born August 16, 1924 in Paron, Arkansas to the late Will and Dora (Phillips) Taylor.
Dorothy was a member of White Hall United Pentecostal Church. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Everyone loved her delicious, Southern cooking. She was dearly loved and will be missed; but family rejoices knowing that she is walking on streets of gold and in the presence of the King.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Leon R. Smith, Bill Sanders, and Jodie Jones; sons, Richard Smith and Dennis Smith; and daughter, Charlotte Kay McCardle.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: daughter, Reba Miller and husband Gary of Albuquerque, New Mexico, son, Lonnie Smith and wife Barbara of White Hall, Arkansas, and Rev. Travis Smith and wife Phyllis of White Hall, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren; "loads, and loads and loads" of extended family, friends, and church family members who love Dorothy and will miss her always.
Reception visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, February 16, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas with funeral, officiated by Rev. Dixon and Rev. O.D. Crabtree, following at 11:00 AM. Burial at Fowler Cemetery assisted by Clay Smith, Donnie Smith, Darrell Smith, Brian Smith, Michael Smith, and Christopher Smith assisting as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Scott Reusser, Aaron Dixon, Keith Smith, and Chad Smith.

*When Leon Rush Smith was born on February 6, 1924, in Pike, Arkansas, his father, Elbert, was 27 and his mother, Mary, was 24. He married Dorothy Mae Taylor on September 21, 1942, in Howard, Arkansas. They had one child during their marriage. He died on August 23, 1977, at the age of 53, and was buried in Paron, Arkansas.
