Mark Goodson, former policeman, was killed and his companion Mrs. Jerome May, 30, was shot and stabbed last night in a woods near North Little Rock. Mrs. May told police they were attacked by an unidentified Negro. Posses were called out.
She was found suffering from 13 knife stabs and birdshot wounds staggering along the highway. Her condition is critical.

*When Mark Macklin Goodson was born on August 13, 1888, in Roland, Arkansas, his father, John, was 44 and his mother, Mary, was 36. He married Mary Addie "Mimi" Roberts on January 28, 1917, in Pulaski, Arkansas. They had eight children in 11 years. He died on February 2, 1933, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 44, and was buried in Paron, Arkansas.

*When Mary Addie "Mimi" Roberts was born on February 2, 1897, in Black Springs, Arkansas, her father, Wayland, was 39, and her mother, Luda, was 20. She married Mark Macklin Goodson and they had eight children together. She then married Albert Fletcher Swaim in Pulaski, Arkansas. She died on May 10, 1981, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 84, and was buried in Paron, Arkansas.
