*When Artie Vestal Smithers was born on December 12, 1898, in Saline, Arkansas, her father, John, was 33, and her mother, Amanda, was 25. She married Willis Vander Dodd on July 23, 1916, in Pulaski, Arkansas. She then married Chester Wellington McLain on February 18, 1954, in Benton, Arkansas. She died on August 31, 1982, in Benton, Arkansas, at the age of 83, and was buried in Paron, Arkansas.
*When Willis Vander Dodd was born on October 6, 1893, in Saline, Arkansas, his father, James, was 42 and his mother, Nancy, was 32. He married Artie Vestal Smithers on July 23, 1916, in Pulaski, Arkansas. He died on June 28, 1948, in Benton, Arkansas, at the age of 54, and was buried in Paron, Arkansas.
