*When Marvin Odous Hester was born on February 18, 1896, in Saline, Arkansas, his father, Drew, was 35 and his mother, Lou, was 27. He married Ruth Cornelia Samples on February 19, 1922, in Garland, Arkansas. They had five children in 19 years. He died on September 11, 1983, in his hometown at the age of 87, and was buried in Paron, Arkansas.
*When Ruth Cornelia Samples was born on February 17, 1901, in Saline, Arkansas, her father, Walter, was 28, and her mother, Cornelia, was 30. She married Marvin Odous Hester on February 19, 1922, in Garland, Arkansas. They had five children in 19 years. She died on June 15, 1991, in her hometown at the age of 90, and was buried in Paron, Arkansas.
