Douglas MacArthur “Mac” Buffington, age 68, of Benton, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010. He was born March 31, 1942 in Paron, Arkansas. Mac was a retired carpenter. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Buffington; wife, Louise Buffington and brother, Timothy Buffington.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Buffington of Benton; daughter, Evelyn Koch and husband Dennis of Malvern, brother, James Buffington and a sister, Alpha Lou Yates both of Benton.
Private memorial services will be planned at a later date.
*Louise Geurin Buffington, 68, of Benton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, February 25, 2010. She was born September 23, 1941 in Benton to the late Virgil and Delois Geurin.
Louise worked at P.C. Hardware as an A.H.C. in Little Rock and retired after 40 years of dedicated service.
Survivors include her husband, Mac Buffington, daughter, Evelyn Koch and husband, Dennis of Malvern, sister, Linda Rowan and brother, Loyd Geurin, both of Benton.
A private graveside at Fowler will be held at a later date
Cremation was through Ashby Funeral Home.
