James D. (J. D.) Chambers, age 92, of Paron passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017. He was born September 7, 1924 in Greenbrier, Arkansas. J.D. was retired from the Saline County Road Dept. a member of North Fork Missionary Baptist Church and a W.W. II Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldred Chambers and Lettie Garrison Chambers, wife, Delpha M. Chambers, son, Robert Louis Chambers, brother, Richard Chambers.
Survivors, daughter, Sandra Martin, Paron; grandchildren, Kay Howell, Bryant; John Martin, Jr., Paron; Wesley Martin (Kim), Paron; Jason Martin, Benton; ten great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.
He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. He loved his family, was a hard worker and loved the Lord. He will be missed dearly.
Graveside services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday at Fowler Cemetery in Paron by Ashby Funeral Home. Ministers will be Bro. Cecil Hyde and Bro. Derwin Harris.

Delpha Mahalia Chambers, age 86, of Paron passed away Wednesday June 1, 2016. She was born August 7, 1929 in Sugar Grove, Arkansas. Delpha was retired from Paron Schools and a member of the North Fork Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Melissa Howard Hunt, son, Robert Louis Chambers, five brothers, four sisters.
Survivors, husband of 68 years, J. D. Chambers, Paron; daughter, Sandra Martin, Paron; four grandchildren, Kay Howell, John Martin Jr., Wesley Martin (Kim), Jason Martin. Ten great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services by Ashby Funeral Home, will be 10:00 AM Saturday at North Fork Missionary Baptist Church in Paron with burial at Fowler Cemetery. Ministers will be Bro. Cecil Hyde and Bro. Derwin Harris.
Pallbearers: John Martin Jr., Wesley Martin, Jason Martin, Alex Martin, Kaleb Martin, Jordan Martin, Logan Howell
