Georgine Ruth McKim, 66 of Benton, passed away Tuesday May 3, 2016. She was born on December 25, 1949 in Hot Springs, to the late John Alvie Hester and Georgetta Lucille Hester. She worked as a beautician for Nancy Barnes and then at Tommy's Hair Salon. She was a clerk at the Benton Revenue office for 10 years and then opened the Bryant Revenue office, supervising there for 22 years. Georgine served as a reserve deputy for Saline County Sheriff's Department for a number of years, especially enjoying her time serving as a volunteer at the county fair. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for a number of years. Georgine was baptized as a child at Forest Hills Baptist Church and enjoyed serving the Lord as a member of Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Georgetta Hester.
Georgine is survived by her husband, David McKim, sons, Kevin Dean Terry and wife, Julie and Jon Rodney Terry, brother, Dennis Alvin Hester and sister, LaVenia Jeanette Jones of Benton, sister in law, Bobbie Schultz and husband, Raymond of Donaldson, grandchildren, Dawson, Dagan, Trenity, Alston, Dakota, Hayden, Tristan, Maverick, Lauren and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 7 with Bro. Terry Parrish and Bro. Bobby George officiating. Burial will follow at Fowler Cemetery in Paron.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Hester, Michael Schultz, Cody Owens, Cody Jackson, Cayce Jones, Ritchie Rickard, Jeffery Rickard and Joey Rickard.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 6 at Ashby Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at Ashby Funeral Home for Funeral Expenses. Memorials may also be made to the Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Family comments: Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt is now in the loving arms of our Lord. Georgine enjoyed being outdoors; especially spending time at the lake and deer camp. She loved and was loved by everyone she met. Mostly she thrived on being surrounded by her family and friends.
