George Oscar Knabe, 75, died yesterday in his home. He was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Leonard Knabe, Stigler, Okla.; Leo Knabe, Corona, Calif., and James Knabe of Little Rock; four daughters, Mrs. Herman Avery, and Mrs. Everett Pritchard all of Little Rock; Mrs. John Carpenter of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Frank Knabe, Little Rock; a sister, Mrs. Fred Christian, Little Rock; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Griffin-Leggitt Chapel by Rev. Earl White and the Rev. Howard Thornton. Active pallbearers will be Carl Knabe, Stephen Knabe, Jack Avery, H. G. Avery, Jr., Boyce Wayne Brown, Howard Womble, Jr.. Honorary will be Everett Pritchard, Russell Wilkerson, Howard Womble, Herman Avery, Sam Anderson, Carlie Brown, and R. S. Bowen.

Mrs. Mattie Louraine Knabe, aged 37, died at a local hospital at 8:40 o’clock yesterday morning. She is survived by her husband, George Knabe; three sons, Leonard, Lee and James Knabe; by four daughters, Lois, Annie, Lillian and Mildred Knabe; by five sisters, Mrs. Sidney Curtis and Mrs. Nonia Curtis, both of R. F. D. No. 1; Mrs. Callie Smith of R. F. D. No. 3, Mrs. Lovie Ball of Little Rock, and Mrs. Bernice Avery of St. Louis, Mo.; and by a brother, Wilbur of R. F. D. No. 7. The body will be taken overland to the Ida Mission cemetery at 1 o’clock this afternoon by P. H. Ruebel & Co. Funeral services will be held at the grave in charge of Rev. John Avery.
