Rachel Marie Perez Offsianik, age 99, of Sherwood, Arkansas died Friday October 11th, 2013. She was born May 3rd, 1914 in Tampa, Florida to the late John and Esther Aflalo Perez. Rachel worked as a meat-packer for Lykes Brothers Meatpacking Plant in Florida until her retirement. Prior to that she produced hand rolled cigars in a small private Cigar Plant in Tampa, Florida. She enjoyed Crochet and Knitting in her retirement years. Rachel was married to Adam F. Offsianik for 57 years until his death in 1994. She is survived by her daughter: Eleanor J. Wood and her husband Gerald D., USAF-Retired of North Little Rock; her grandchildren, Edward M. Wood, US Army of Cabot, Cynthia M. Wood Scheuerman and her husband Randall, USN-Retired of Maumelle, and Kenneth A. Wood, USN-Retired and his wife Wendy J. of Sherwood; great-grandchildren, Michael Wood of Cabot, Brittany and Tanner Scheuerman of Maumelle, Timothy Wood, USMC-active, Andrew and Zachary Wood of Sherwood, Christopher Wood, USMC-inactive, and his wife Karina and great-great-granddaughter Sophia Wood of Sherwood. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Amaranth Diabetes Association, 201 N. Izard, Little Rock, AR 72201.
