Judy Anne "Beppe" De Vries, 70, of Little Rock, went to heaven on September 23, 2014.

She was born and raised in Vermont by her parents Margaret and Harold Richardson. After high school she bravely answered John F. Kennedy’s call to do more for her country. She joined the Peace Corps serving in Tanzania and Libya. It marked a turning point in her life.

While serving, she met James De Vries. They were married in Kenya on August 16, 1969. Together their passion to help the world’s poor and hungry would take them around the globe: China, Haiti, Tanzania, and many more. She worked at Heifer International for more than 10 years lovingly answering donor’s questions.

Beppe is survived by her husband, 3 sons and 4 grandchildren. Eric and wife Kristi, their children: Lauran, Tyler, and Emma, Christian and wife Sarah, and their son Alexander, and Timothy De Vries, all of Little Rock, AR. She is also survived by 8 brothers and sisters.

The memorial service will be at St. Andrew’s Church, 8300 Kanis Rd., Little Rock, AR 72204, on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 10:00am with a reception to follow. Memorial gifts should be made to Heifer International Foundation.
