Jerry Dearien of Mountain View, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at his home in Mountain View, Arkansas. Jerry was born November 3, 1936 in the Red Doors community near Mountain View to Ewing Malloy Dearien and Allie Mae Storey Dearien. After graduation from Mountain View High School, Jerry served in the U.S. Army. He later became the owner/operator of Dearien Builders Supply, which he started as a family business with his father. Jerry's favorite pastime was raising Thoroughbred race horses, his favorite race horse was Ewing Malloy, named after his father.
Survivors include his three children; one daughter, Carol Hicks (Russell) of Pineville, Arkansas; two sons, Jody Dearien (Cindy) of Mountain View and Phillip Dearien of Fox, Arkansas; a sister, Jan Norman (Gary) of Mountain View; five grandchildren, Jordan Hicks (Amber) and Jesse Hicks (Madison) both of Pineville, Arkansas, Matt Dearien (Ashley) of Mountain View and Johnnie and Shane Dearien both of Fox, Arkansas; nine great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Lynnox, Nash, Asher, Caitlin, Aiden, Hannah, Blake and Elise and many extended family and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, J.C. Dearien, Charles Dearien, Edwin Dearien and Bob Dearien and a daughter-in-law, Viola Dearien.
A graveside service will be Friday, December 9, 2022 at 2:00PM at Flatwoods Cemetery with Brother Will Thompson officiating.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
