MOUNTAiN ViEW – David Edwin Dearien, 69, of Mountain View died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at Mountain View.
Born Nov. 3, 1933, in the Red Doors community near Mountain View, he was the son of Ewing Malloy Dearien and Allie Mae Storey Dearien. He was a carpenter, an Army veteran of the Korean War and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Purdom Dearien; two sons, David R. Dearien and Rick Dearien, both of Mountain View; a daughter, Rita Smith of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Jerry Dearien of Mountain View; a sister, Janice Norman of Mountain View; and four grandchildren, Amy Smith Kepler, Corey Smith, Eden Dearien and Lilly Dearien.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, J.C. Dearien, Bob Dearien and Charles Dearien.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roller Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain View with Paul Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in Flatwoods Cemetery at Mountain View.
Pallbearers will be Barry Storey, Tim Storey, Alvin Smith, Johnny Sweeney, Don Jones and Dy Simmons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. F. Scott Dibrell, ira Thomas and Harold Batten.
