Emma Woodring Arthur, 86, of Batavia, Arkansas, passed away November 6, 2023, at home with family by her side. Emma was born October 28, 1937, in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of Benjamin and Mary White Woodring.

Emma is preceded by her husband, Roger, her parents and 11 siblings.

Emma was born into a large family. She has 17 brothers and sisters. She worked in a pharmacy as a bookkeeper in her earlier years. She and Roger had two sons together whom she dearly loved.

Emma lived in the country surrounded by beautiful Ozark Mountain scenery. She loved animals, and one pet in particular, Beau, was her favorite.

Emma is survived by her sons, David (Elaine) Arthur, of Batavia, Arkansas, Dennis Arthur (Megan Sprouse), of Bedford, Virginia, sisters, Donna (Cecil) Princeton, of W. Virginia, Sharon Parson of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Norma Massaroni of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina. Emma is survived by her brothers, Nathan (Rita) Woodring of Rock, W. Virginia, Loyd (Debbie) Woodring of Beckly, W. Virginia, and Paul Woodring, of Madera, California. Emma also leaves 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A private service will be held at a later date.
