Burl B. Cagle, 94, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, in Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Rose Bumpers Cagle. He served on the official board of Goddard United Methodist Church for many years. A past member of the Lions Club. He was the founder of Cagle Ornamental Iron Works. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005, at Goddard United Methodist Church with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston. He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn and son-in-law, Lewis Robinson of Fort Smith; grandson, Michael K. Robinson and wife, Julie Thomas of Temple, Texas, and grandson, Gregory C. and wife, Monica Clark-Robinson of Lansing, Mich.; great-granddaughter, Madeleine Rose Robinson of Lansing, Mich.; a sister, Almira Shelby of Tulsa; a brother, Donald Cagle of Fort Smith; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Bible class at Goddard United Methodist Church.

Wilma Rose Bumpers Cagle was born on August 31, 1914 to Rosco Cue Bumpers and Elizabeth Ann Reardon Bumpers in Cecil, Arkansas.
She passed from this life on March 31, 1987 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She was married to Burl Cagle.
