Alma Joyce Hicks 72 of Jacksonville passed away Monday, September 4, 2006 in Paron, Arkansas. She was born January 4, 1934 in Fairfield, Texas to Charlie and Lillian Etheridge Rockey. On November 18, 1950 she married Harold Hicks in Lovington, New Mexico. They moved to Jacksonville where she was employed over ten years with Union Pacific Railroad Hospital in Little Rock. She was preceded by her husband on August 16, 2006. Mrs. Hicks was also preceded in death by her son, Larry and a brother, Billy Rockey.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Charles and Rhonda Hicks of Paron, Arkansas; daughter, Debbie Haulton of Harrison, Arkansas; daughter in law, Vanessa Hicks of Jacksonville; two sisters, Faye Anderson and May Lofton, both of Alvaredo, Texas; brother, Charles Rockey of Canton, Texas; five grandchildren, Christopher and Tonya Hicks of Fayetteville, Kim and John Trublood of Harrison, Robert Haulton of St. Louis, Missouri, Lesley Hicks of Jacksonville, Jeremy Hicks of Conway; two great grandchildren, Silas Hicks and Tabor Trublood.
Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Walnut Bottoms Cemetery near Paron, Arkansas with Brother Royce Lowe officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2006 at the funeral home. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to her caregivers, Judy, Tonya, Ellen and Cressie. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Moores Jacksonville Funeral Home. (501) 982-2136.

Harold L. Hicks, age 73, of Jacksonville, passed away Wednesday, August 16,2006 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on September 13, 1932 in Dillard, Oklahoma to the late William L. and Vera M. Hart Hicks. He was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Hicks and a brother Wayne Hicks.
He is survived by his wife Alma Joyce Rockey Hicks of Jacksonville; children, Charles Hicks and his wife Rhonda of Peron, Arkansas and Debbie Haulton of Harrison, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Hicks of Jacksonville; sisters, Elwanna Hudson and her husband Ernest of Brownfield, Texas, Maudine Collier and her husband Royce of Huntsville, Arkansas and Linda Holloway and her husband Kenneth of Kingston, Arkansas as well as a sister-in-law Shirley Hicks of Huntsville, Arkansas. His grandchildren Christopher Hicks and his wife Tonya of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Kim Trublood and her husband John of Harrison, Arkansas, Robert Haulton of St. Louis, Missouri, Jeremy Hicks of Conway, Arkasnas and Lesley Hicks of Jacksonville as well as two great-grandchildren Silas Hicks and Tabor Trublood also survive him.
Visitation will be Friday, August 18, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Walnut Bottoms Cemetery in Peron, Arkansas.
