Mrs. Thelma Barr died Monday, August 20, in Strong. Surviving are her widower, Otto Barr, Huttig; her mother, Mrs. Lillie Mitchell, Strong; four daughters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Avery. Mrs. Lovey D. Brown, and Miss Mae Kathryn Barr, all of Huttig; Mrs. Maudell Neal, Houston; two sons, Jimmy Earl Barr, El Dorado; Jackie Barr, Huttig; two brothers, Earnest R. Mitchell, Farmerville, La.; Percell Mitchell, St. Paul, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral will be at Batts Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Union Funeral Home of Farmerville. (El Dorado Times - August 25, 1973)
