Judy Belle (Brasel) Villines passed away March 29, 2024, at Hospice of the Hills in Harrison, Arkansas at age 83. She was born January 21, 1941, in Parthenon, Arkansas to Bill and Faye Brasel. She was preceded in death by her husband James, parents Bill and Faye Brasel, and brother Gene Brasel.
Judy is survived by a sister Nadine Claus, a brother Bobby Brasel and wife Glenda, a daughter Beth Blake and husband Tom, a son Jimmy Villines and wife Sonya, her grandchildren; Courtney Rushing and husband Chad, Nathan Blake and wife Melinda, and Amber Blake. Great-grandchildren are Charley, Camryn, Maddie, and James. Judy leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Judy was a homemaker, avid gardener, sports fan, doting grandmother, and loyal friend. She was a member of Peel Full Gospel Church and the Lead Hill Church of God. She had a passionate relationship with the Lead Hill School where she volunteered countless hours in the FFA greenhouse and at the hospitality room during basketball tournaments. She loved spending time with her Newton County family at various “get-togethers”. Judy is known for all the garden produce she canned. She will be dearly missed by many.
Memorials may be made to the Lead Hill FFA greenhouse, and also to The Hospice of the Hills in Harrison, Arkansas.
