Lillian Beatrice Burgess, age 101 of Arkoma, OK passed away on April 3, 2014 at a local Fort Smith Hospital.
Lillian was born September 28, 1912 in Tahlequah, OK.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Bernard, her son Lester (Bernie), her daughter Ann Marie Widdifield, infant daughter Lillian Mary, grandson David Bernard and her father Walter Lambert.
Mrs. Burgess was a devoted wife and grandmother. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Catholic Women's Union, and a former Girl Scout Leader.
Private Family services are scheduled for Monday, April 7, 2014 at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Ft. Smith.
Mrs. Burgess is survived by five grandchildren, Whitney and Marcus of Arkoma, Michael of Ft. Smith, Shannon Lanzone of Alamo, CA, Scott Widdifield of Pahoa, HI, great granddaughters Brittney Burgess, Devin and Reese Lanzone, great grandson Asher Lanzone, daughter-in-law Carol of Arkoma, and son-in-law Harry Widdifield of Pahoa, HI.
