Brother Luther Lott, age 83 of Delight, Arkansas passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 at his home. He was born December 15, 1938 in Lonoke, Arkansas the son of the late Luther B. and Marie Wilson Lott.
Luther was a loving father, son, grandpa, friend, pastor and more. In his spare time he loved to golf, hunt, fish and go to garage sales with his beloved wife who always said, "stop haggling Luther!" He would smile and always did whatever she said.
Luther was a Baptist preacher who loved to feed his sheep the word of God and showed others his love for Jesus through his daily life. He always put his church members and other peoples needs in front of his own. He also loved to make people laugh and would often slide in a joke or funny story in any conversation with him.
You never saw Luther anywhere without his wife by his side. We know they are having the best reunion now.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Donnis Moody Lott, an infant son, one sister Avaline McCann, and two brothers Leonard Lottand J.B. Lott.
Survivors include two sons; David Lott (Amy), Jerry Lott; one brother James Lott; four grandchildren: Brian Lott (Anita), Erica Staggs (Chad), Adam Lott, Valorie Lott, and a great-granddaughter Hadley Staggs; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time Thursday, July 7, at First Baptist Church in Delight.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 7, at First Baptist Church, with Bro. Freddie McCann officiating, burial will follow in Delight Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Donnis Moody Lott, 77, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Texarkana Hospice surrounded by her family and friends. She was born September 13, 1939 in Lonoke, Arkansas the daughter of the late Roy Moody and Thurzie Rollins Moody.
She was a faithful servant for the Lord and a devoted pastor's wife and a member of the First Baptist Church in Delight where her husband Luther pastored for 12 years.
She is preceeded in death by her parents, an infant son, and her brother Earl Moody.
Survivors include her husband Luther Lott, two sons; David Lott (Amy), Jerry Lott (Elita); three brothers Heuitte Moody (Linda), Thomas Moody (Marilyn), Walter Moody (Joan), four grandchildren: Brian Lott, Erica Staggs (Chad), Adam Lott, Valorie Lott, and a great-granddaughter Hadley Staggs; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, June 9, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Services will be Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Delight, with burial to follow at Delight Cemetery.
