Mildred Ophelia “Millie” Piercy, age 90, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away on January 13, 2024. She was born in Houston, Texas on July 10, 1933 to the late Gilphen Horace Raney and Rena Clytre (Crafton) Raney.
Millie worked at Ace Hardware in Maumelle, Arkansas and retired after working for 25 years. She was an avid seamstress and angel collector.
Millie is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Thomas Raney and Jack Raney; her husband Wesley Edward Scott Sr; her son Wesley Edward Scott Jr; and her grandson Joshua Yates.
She is survived by her daughter Cherie (Scott) Yates and husband James of Cabot; daughter Tina M. (Scott) Dodson and husband Paul of Lonoke; daughter-in-law Trisha Scott of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Jason D. Yates and Sandra Swain of Jacksonville, Jenna (Yates) Bailey and husband Mickel of Austin, Jessica F. (Yates) McBride of Lonoke, Jill E. Dodson of Cabot, John W. Dodson of Lonoke, Benay M. Dodson of Lonoke, Brandy (Scott) Vaughn and husband Bill of Dierks, and Candace R. (Scott) Cox and husband Christopher of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren Mickel J. Bailey of Austin, Jolie M. Bailey of Austin, Jamie L. Bailey of Austin, Gabby Dodson of Jacksonville, Alex Dodson of Jacksonville, Aubrey McBride of Lonoke, Floyed McBride Jr of Lonoke, Josiah Murphy of Cabot, Jacob O’Neal and wife Lillian, Ben O’Neal, Abigail Jaymes, Karsyn Archer, and Katelyn Ewing; great-great-granddaughters Melani H. Williams and Stella O’Neal; sister Willie Merle Buck of Kilgore, Texas; her best friend Bessie Smith; and many more friends and extended family.
