Mrs. Ernestine L. Herring, 94 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in Hope. She was born July 12, 1917 in Prescott, Arkansas to Thomas Andrew and Jewell Ellis Lavender. She was married to the late Hansel Herring, a former Mayor of Prescott for 75 years. Mrs. Herring was a life long member of the Prescott Church of Christ, a retired employee of the Prescott City Hall and she had also worked at the newspaper in Prescott. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Herring is survived by her daughter; Mary Jo McDonald of Texarkana, Texas, two grandchildren, Laura Fritz and Lisa Hixon, her husband, Brad and one great-grandchild, Jewell Hixon other family member and friends. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Friday, November 11 at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to: Alzheimers Alliance 104 Cypress Texarkana, TX 75503 or to Childrens Home, Inc 5515 Walcott Road Paragould, AR 72450. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Saturday, at the Chapel of Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott. Mr. Paul Robinson will officiate the service. Burial to follow in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott
