*When Martha Jane Owens was born on April 12, 1859, in Sedalia, Missouri, her father, Beverly, was 47, and her mother, Jane, was 38. She married James Richard McDougal on February 7, 1878. They had 12 children in 21 years. She died on December 15, 1952, in Pangburn, Arkansas, at the age of 93, and was buried there.
