Anita Marie Alexander, age 65, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. She was born in Osceola, Arkansas on May 30, 1958 to William English and Helen (Moss) English.
Anita is preceded in death by her sister Lucille English and her brother Bobby Ray Claybrooks.
She leaves behind her children Delicia Jones, Quatuantay Watson (Jeremy Watson), George Jones (Felicia Jones), Georgetta Jones, and Denencia Franklin; grandchildren NiYeirah Moore, DeMetrice Bailey, LeTavion Bailey, Qirin Jones, Nemiah Watson, Nevaeh Watson, George Jones III, Joseph Jones, Bradley Linker, Austin Linker, and Aniyah Price; siblings Dorothy Moss, Tena Alexander, Frazel Claybrooks, and Willie Charles Moss; special family member Jessie Mae Oliver who took her in and raised her; and many more extended family and friends.
Anita was a spitfire who loved everyone. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Don’t you dare walk into her house without speaking; she was sure to let you know a thing or two about respect. Anita will be remembered as a child of God who loved the Lord. We can see her now sitting on an organ, playing and singing her songs. A woman of class and dignity, she will be missed by many.
A visitation will be held to honor Anita on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 5:00-7:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
