Oct 23, 1952 - Feb 18, 2024

Sally Darlene Morgan, 71, of Huntsville; passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024, at home. She was born Thursday, October 23, 1952, at Harrison; to Franklin Leon and Mildred June Leach Smith.

Sally was the mother of two children. She married George Thomas Morgan on June 10, 1994, at Alpena, Arkansas; and they built their home in Huntsville on the very site where George proposed. Sally was a dedicated homemaker and well-known for her exquisite snickerdoodle cookies and melt-in-your-mouth cinnamon rolls. Her cooking skills extended beyond baking, as she was also skilled in canning items from the garden. In her spare time, Sally enjoyed the art of needlepoint and immersing herself in a good book. Her heart brimmed with affection for all creatures, big and small, enjoying the hummingbirds, deer, squirrels, and even raccoons on their property. Sally's greatest joy, however, was the endless love she held for her family.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Mildred Smith. She is survived by her husband, George, of the home; two sons, James Landrum and Philip Landrum; one brother and sister-in-law, Hal and Rose Smith, of Bergman; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.

The family will hold a private celebration at a later date. Cremation is entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
