May 13, 1911 - April 24, 2004
Wyley A. Asher, 92, of Van Buren died Saturday, April 24, 2004, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a glass worker retired from Thomas Industries, a member of the Kibler Road Church of God, and past president and member of the AFGWU glassworkers union.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, two sons, one sister, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

November 13, 1915 - January 12, 2006
Hazel Asher, 90, formerly of Fort Smith and Van Buren, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, in Lima, Pa. She was a homemaker and the widow of Wyley Asher. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Jan. 20 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Fort Smith. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Mooney of Media, Pa.; two sons, Raymond Asher of Sebring, Ohio, and Gary Asher of Van Buren; a sister, Jewell Leckey of Bakersfield, Calif.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
