Phyllis K. Houle, age 72, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, left us, surrounded by her family on February 4th 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas, from her battle with cancer. She was born on September 20, 1951 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Phyllis lived an active life at the ball fields, featuring her sons and grandchildren. She hardly ever missed a game and could be heard cheering boisterously for her sons and grandchildren. She cherished her family above all else. Phyllis had a lead foot and an adventurous soul, never letting life slow her down. She was a member of the congregation of Central Baptist Church, where she enjoyed working in the nursery and worshiping alongside friends and family. Phyllis was a single, working mother, who worked in offices and waited tables to take care of her sons. She most recently worked at the Department of Corrections with coworkers who became dear friends.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Rosemary Rash, and older sister, Barbara Summers. Phyllis is survived by her older sister and her husband, Sharon and Robert Price; older brother James Rash; younger brother and his wife, Stephen and Mary Ruth Rash; and her older son and his wife, Ronnie Houle and Hong Vong; her younger son and his wife, Jason and Brittney Houle; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. Visitation will be at 10:00am, followed by services at 11:00am, on February 7, 2024 at Central Baptist Church. Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400. Online guestbook available at www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com
