*When Helen E Marsh Allen Barr was born on April 22, 1909, in Nebraska, her father, Elmer, was 43, and her mother, Willie, was 25. She married Slate Allen on July 9, 1936, in Crittenden, Arkansas. They had one child during their marriage. She died on December 24, 2007, at the age of 98, and was buried in Pangburn, Arkansas.
