Alma “Mammaw” Bernice Greeson, 95, of Hot Springs, was called home by her Lord on Sunday, July 30, 2017. She was born on February 26, 1922 with her twin brother Alvie “Jack” to J.L. and Dora Mann George in Mountain Valley, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life for 49 years, Bill Greeson; her parents; seven brothers; four sisters; two grandchildren, Tracy Greeson Ferretti and Rick Greeson; and son-in-law Vern s. Reynolds.
Alma is survived by her six children, Ronald (Pat), Bill (Pat), Glenda, Jack (Linda), Patti (Millard), Sandy (Johnnie); sixteen grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; sister-in-laws Bessie George and Viola George; loving friends Hoyt and Linda Reynolds and Wanda Harris; and six special fur babies.
A loving thank you to her caregivers, sons Ron and Bill, and grandchildren William and Kelly Greeson Hooker.
Alma had a kind, loving heart she devoted to her family and to the Lord. She loved animals, gardening, sewing, quilting, dancing and family gatherings. Her greatest pleasure came from camping, when she would go fishing, collect rocks and driftwood, and take walks admiring the birds and wild flowers.
She was a Christian and a member of Cones Road Missionary Baptist Church. Special loving prayers for her Sunday School Class, Dr. Scott Anderson and Dr. Troy Birk.
Pallbearers are William Hooker, Steve Greeson, Robert Greeson, Brian Greeson, Nick Childs, Hoyt Reynolds, Fred Hawthorn, and Howard Hawthorn.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cones Road Missionary Baptist Church, 405 Cones Road, Hot Springs, AR 71901, or the Garland County Humane Society, 2026 Central Avenue, Hot Springs, AR 71901.
