Sandra H. Cash, 76, of Hot Springs died on February 2, 2016. She was born in Hot Springs on August 18, 1939 to the late David and Lillian Hurst.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nolan Cash and brother, David Edward Hurst. Sandra is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Kathy Cash of Hot Springs and a daughter and son-in-law, Jessie and Ross Hardy of Hot Springs. She is also survived by grandchildren, Ramona Hicks, Jamie Duncan, Drake Hardy, Shane Hardy, Bailey Cash, Kristy Miller, Sierra Hardy; four great-grandchildren, Emerson Duncan and Kinley, Taylor and Ashley Miller.

Sandra graduated from Hot Springs High School and from Henderson State University with a degree in elementary education. She was a teacher in several places in Arkansas before settling at Lakeside School in Hot Springs, where she taught second and third grade students. Throughout her whole teaching career she taught all first through sixth grades. Sandra enjoyed teaching students for 24 years. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa and Garland County Retired Teachers Association. Sandra served 10 years on the board of Morning Star Cemetery Association.

She spent most of her life in Hot Springs attending Oaklawn First Church of God and was involved in the Women of the Church of God Missionary Society and was on the Board of Trustees of the Oaklawn Church of God. Sandra was a devoted wife and grandmother. She loved going to Jessieville Church of God and serving any way she could and also enjoyed attending Crossgate Church.

Sandra also enjoyed working with AWANA and was very active in BSF and working with the children there as well. She enjoyed playing the piano, teaching Sunday school, vacation bible school, being a counselor at church camp and being a Girl Scout leader. Sandra had a strong faith in Jesus and became a born again Christian at an early age. She lived out her faith and shared it with her students and everyone she could. Sandra was Mimi to all of her grandchildren and fondly called Aunt Sandy by all of her nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her son, Raymond Cash, son-in-law, Ross Hardy, grandsons, Drake and Shane Hardy, and sons-in-law, CJ Duncan and Kyle Hicks.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. A celebration of Sandra’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Oaklawn Church of God.
