Mrs. Nannie Elizabeth Reed, 86, of Hwy. 71 S. died at her home Sunday morning. She was born Dec. 12, 1878 in the former Carter Community in Washington County, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Jones Jett and was married Jan. 18, 1902 to Stephen Reed who died in 1936. She as a member of the Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Norman E. and Lewis Elgin of Fayetteville; one daughter, Mrs. Marel Griffith of Fayetteville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Watson Mortuary. Burial in National Cemetery under direction of the Watson Mortuary.
