August 22, 1898 - September 30, 1970
Mr. Sam Carlton, of Mansfield, Arkansas, died Wednesday, at a Little Rock hospital. Mr. Carlton was 73 years old.
Mr. Carlton is survived by his wife: Daisy Carlton, of the home; three sons: Billy Joe Carlton and Arley "Mickey" Carlton, both of Mansfield, Arkansas, and Floyd Carlton, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one daughter: Arlena Litchford, of Mansfield, Arkansas; three sisters: Mary Norris of Mansfield, Arkansas, Lona Rogers, of Corona, California, and Alma Mills, of Detroit, Michigan; 14 wonderful grandchildren; 1 great grand child; numerous other relatives and good friends.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, at James Fork Baptist Church, just west of Mansfield, Arkansas. Mr. Carlton was laid to rest at Union Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Mansfield, Arkansas.

Daisy
July 6, 1908 - June 11, 1998
Ms. Daisy Carlton, of Mansfield, Arkansas, died June 11, 1998, in Sebastian County, Arkansas. She was the widow of Sam Carlton.
Ms. Carlton is survived by three sons: Billy Joe and Arley "Mickey" Carlton, both of Mansfield, Arkansas; and Floyd Carlton, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many good friends.
Ms. Carlton was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Sam Carlton; and a daughter: Arlena Litchford.
Funeral services were held at James Fork Baptist Church, with burial at Union Ridge Cemetery.
