Ida A. Sharp, 87, of Wesley died April 22, 2007, at Fayetteville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Dec. 18, 1919, near Huntsville, the daughter of Bill and Etta Davis Boyd. She was a retired-hairdresser and attended Drakes Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ewell Boyd and three sisters, Mattie Clark, Mary Watson and Lillian Powell. After her marriage to Ross Sharp, Ida resided at Wesley and was a homemaker and beautician. Ida will be remembered as a beautiful lady with an outstanding personality and was loved by her family and friends.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Douglas Ross and Lou Sharp of Springdale; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Kay and John Thompson of Springdale and Carol Ann Hawley of Las Vegas; one sister, Verna Daily of Fayetteville; three grandsons, Grant Thompson of Springdale, Scott Sharp of Fayetteville and Jason Reed of Atlanta; five granddaughters, Kayla Daniel of Denver, Deborah Cox and Diana Matthews, both of Las Vegas, Erin Sharp of Berryville and Leah Garrett of Fayetteville; two great-grandsons, David Cox of Las Vegas, Luke Daniel of Denver; and one great-granddaughter, Rachel Cox of Las Vegas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today, April 24 at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville with Johnny Dockery, minister, officiating.
Interment will be in Wesley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Thompson, Scott Sharp, Grant Thompson, Boyd Daily, Gerald Daily and Phil Johnson.
