July 31, 1845 - June 23, 1922
*Obituary
On June 23 the Death Angel passed this way and claimed for its victim Mrs. N. A. Hart. She was born July 31, 1845, in Alabama. At the age of 22 she was married to G. W. Hart. To this union were born seven children, five of whom are still living, Mrs. Aggie Leavitt of Sutton, Mrs. Alice Spencer of near Union, Luther of Stamps, Rufus of El Dorado and Mrs. Genie Beauchamp of Weatherford, Texas. Mrs. Hart professed religion at an early age, joined the Methodist church, but in later years joined the Baptist church and lived a faithful member until death. Mrs. Hart was called away very suddenly and let us be thankful that she did not have to suffer so long as some, and to the loved ones, weep not, for we know she is backing in the sunlight of God's love, there to rejoice with her loved ones who have gone before. A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled. A place is vacant in our home, that never can be filled. Written by a friend Eliza Jackson. (Nevada County Picayune - July 13, 1922)
