Bonnie Faye West Lawson, 89, of Fort Smith, passed from this life, and now is with her Lord and Savior, September 2, 2017 in Fort Smith.
She was born, in Greenwood, to the late John Arthur and Ona Thornton Jones.
She owned and operated, along with her late husband Glenn, West Riding Academy and Western Land Company. She was a member of Greenwood First Baptist Church since 1968. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She lived her life as an example of God's love to others. Her giving spirit will be remembered always as she was a blessing to all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn West of Dallas, Texas and Michael West, Sr of Quinton, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Sherry Drennan of Greenwood, Abbe Fenimore of Dallas, Texas, Michael West, Jr, Candace Few and Steven West all of Quinton, Oklahoma and Jonathan West of Little Elm, Texas; her brothers, Norman Casey Jones of Van Buren, Jimmy Jones of Grain Valley, Missouri and Phillip Jones and Don Jones of Greenwood, as well as 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands Glenn West and Deslie Lawson; her daughter Glenda West; four brothers, John "Doc" Jones, Robert "Bob" Jones, Roger Jones and Has Owen Jones, as well as two sisters, Ilene Liston and Mary Sue McGhee.
Graveside services will be 10:00am Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
