Willie Henry Montgomery, 60, a former resident of Union County died recently in Houston, Tex. Born in Junction City, Ark., March 28, 1909, he was the son of Henry and Matilda Montgomery. He was a member of Mt. Pigeon Baptist Church, Houston, Tex. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pearl Montgomery, Houston; three daughters, Miss Lois Montgomery, Houston, Mrs. Mae Odis Modica and Mrs. Servitis James, both of El Dorado; four brothers, Elmer Montgomery, Cleveland, Ohio, William Montgomery, Baytown, Tex., Lee Montgomery, Los Angeles, Calif. and Lacy Montgomery of Houston; two sisters, Miss Very Montgomery and Miss Lois Montgomery, both of Milwaukee, Wis.,; 20 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Mt. Union Baptist Church, Junction City, with the Rev. J. W. Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Community Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. (El Dorado Times - January 9, 1970)
