March 8, 1938 - October 17, 1969
Mrs. Gwendolyn Ross Landers, 1212 Norsworthy St., died Friday morning. A native of El Dorado, she was born March 8, 1938, the daughter of Phillip and Idella Traylor Ross. She was a graduate of Washington High School and attended Texas Southern University in Houston. She was an employe of Gibson's Discount Store in El Dorado. She is survived by two daughters, Karren Ann Landers and Cynthia Lynne Landers; a son, Ralph Steven Landers; her parents; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Ross White, El Dorado and Mrs. Gladys Ross West, Pine Bluff; five brothers, Eddie Ross, Milton Ross, Pete Ross, and Bobby D. Ross, all of El Dorado, and Dewey Ross, Houston, Tex. Funeral services will be held in the New Bethel Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. L. D. Champion officiating. Burial will follow in Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. (El Dorado Times - October 21, 1969)
