Arkansas

July 25, 1922 - May 8, 2017

Erma Lea Davis Moseley was born July 25, 1923 in Jersey, AR to the late Aubert N. and Ethel Eugene Speights Davis. She went to be with her Lord and Savior May 8, 2017 at her home with family gathered around her bed playing “Peace in the Valley”.
She was married to the late John Theo Moseley on November 29, 1952. She was a homemaker, loving daughter, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She served the Lord, teaching GA’s, VBS, Sunday School, and served along with her husband at Plainview Baptist Church and First Baptist Church (formerly Lee Memorial Baptist) of White Hall. She was a dedicated daughter to her parents until their death, her father-in-law until his death and a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren, serving as a chauffeur, cheerleader for them at their ballgames, and a steady place to go where you could always receive a smile. She loved and was known by her great-grandchildren as NerNer.
Mrs. Moseley was a graduate of White Hall High School in 1943, and Draughon School of Business in Little Rock and a member of Cal Lavorn Sunday School Class at First Baptist White Hall.
She loved a beautiful yard filled with beautiful flowers that blessed the community. She loved camping, fishing, sports, reading her bible, and sharing the love of Christ with others. In her younger years, her home was always the place kids gathered for bible study, prayer meetings, hosting many youth directors from our church and she loved singing in the choir. Her table was always filled with home cooked meals and she loved serving others.
Mrs. Moseley was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Bussell, Clydene Drinkwater and Norma Moseley; brother, “Bud” Jimmy Davis, and sons-in-law, Jim Dickerson and Mark Burgos.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah (Shelby) Andre of Jefferson and Amanda Burgos of White Hall; step-son, Don Magee of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Jamie Dickerson, Patrick Dickerson, Carl (Mary Ann) Weatherford, Cendi (Wes) Engram, Mari-Gray (Mark) Matthews; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday May 13, 2017 at First Baptist Church of White Hall with Dr. Bob Harper and Reverend Shelby Andre officiating. Burial will follow in Moseley Cemetery at New Edinburg. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, she requested donations to First Baptist White Hall Building Fund.
